OUR STORY
The Band was formed way back in 1994 by (in the words of NME) “Eccentric raconteur and Boogie Woogie front man Red Stripe”
They have performed at virtually every Jazz Festival in the British Isles and beyond including a memorable performance at the Montreux Jazz Festival.
Other performances include appearances at Le Scimmie in Milan , Tokyo’s “Flat 5” and New York City’s “Swing 46”
You will also be able to catch the boys (and girls) at venues in central London including Pizza Express Jazz in Dean Street Soho, Spice of Life Soho, Toulouse Lautrec Jazz Club and at “Crypt Lates” St Martins in the Fields off Trafalgar Square.
Expect a high energy and entertaining mix of classic Rock n roll, swing, jazz and boogie woogie alongside their own compositions selected from their four studio albums.
The Time Out label : “Imagine a smaller version of the Jools Holland Orchestra without the annoying front man” is partly accurate !
